Techniclear [Water Based]
This fast drying water based clear coating provides an odourless way to provide a very tough scratch resistant protective coating over wood furniture and wood floor repairs. Not meant for use on linoleum, stone, or plastic. It is white when liquid and completely clear when dry. Comes in three different sheens: Gloss, Satin, and Matte. It can be dulled down by adding Water Based Duller. It can also be tinted using Mixol Tinters.

In all cases, pre-clean surface with Ducasol and a nylon bristle brush. Wipe off Ducasol residue with water and a rag, and then scuff areas to be painted with a Scotch Brite pad. Wipe and dry, repair and color before coating with Techniclear Water Based.
There are several ways this product can be applied:
1. Sprayed through a HVLP gravit feed spray gun. Small detail guns for smaller jobs such as wooden chair touch up and blendng or even masked off floor boards. Larger jobs, such as smooth tables or smooth, large wood floor boards, may best be sprayed with larger spray guns. Make sure sheen is correct before applying.
2. Brush with small touch up brush. Tinted and used for touch up or blending or repairs with a small touch up brush.
3. Brushed with full sized painters brush, 2" - 5". This method can be great on rough cut or deep grained floor boards or tables. Pull the brush with the grain and the full length of the table or board before moving to the second stroke. Slightly overlap your previous stroke on each pass. You will want to move fairly quickly to avoid this quick drying coating to set up before your next overlapping stroke.
4. With a wet lint free cloth, microfibre towel, or synthetic foam applicator, (wet with water, but not dripping), Follow the same quick overlapping as described in method #3.
Note: If your applicator is not pre-wet with water, bubbling will tend to occur.
Note 2: Although this product is not an ideal coating for lacquer (Special T & SEM Color Coat) it can be safely used as a top coat for smaller repair areas. Special T or SEM Color Coat must be thoroughly dried first.
