2k- Spray Max Matte
2 part clear epoxy aerosol coating. 2K clear coat with very high chemical, gasoline, and weathering resistance for high-quality and longterm sealing of repair paint jobs. Comes in Glamour/Gloss, Satin, Matte low gloss.
Product Instructions
2K is most likely beneficial in NC repairs. When hard chemically resistant two part clear is needed over top of your repair and softer coatings such as Special T and/or SEM colors pigment sticks, brush pens, pencil crayons.
1. Fibreglass/Gel coat (tubs & boats are most common) As a final protective coating over your repair and softer colour coatings such as SEM and/or Special T. Generally two wet coatings are recommended. Mild roughness from airborne particulates can easily be removed with a quick and light rub with 2000 grit paper once clear is no longer tacky. Overnight cure recommended. If finish is not applied smoothly or there are larger imperfections such as runs, coatings may also be sanded at this time with 600 grit higher. Follow with cut compound.
2. Acrylic (tubs & showers are most common) Over top of the repairs and softer colour coatings sometimes used such as Special T and/or SEM.
3. Table Tops Where a hard chemically resistant clear is needed over top of repairs and softer coatings, and colorants such as SEM, Special T, Brush Pens, markers, Pigment sticks have been used.
4. Any other surface Needing a hard chemically resistant and weather resistant coating. The following are examples of such - Exterior and interior high gloss automotive panels, exterior stone and tile repair, interior stone and tile repair.
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS: To activate 2K Clear, take red button from lid/cap and attach to the bottom of aerosol. Push down on the red button towards the can until seal is broken in can. This will be a noticeable movement. Aggressively shake can for 2 minutes, and your aerosol can is now activated. At room temperature, your clear will continue to harden, even in the can, and will only last 2-4 days unless your can is refrigerated or frozen. It is advised to spray your first two seconds worth of clear away from your repair itself, to ensure thorough mixing of your spray.
SPRAYING INSTRUCTIONS: Spray 6-8 inch distance from surface being coated. Slightly overlap each pass. Coating should be completely wet and shiny when applied. Two coatings is recommended.
CURING INSTRUCTIONS: Drying: 12 h / 20°C (68° F) 40 min / 60°C (140°F) Curing lamp recommended Use only in well ventilated areas. keep away from flames. spray 10" away.
