Sure Finish Tub Coat
Sure Finish Tub Coat
A two part, ultra tough white odorless epoxy coating. Great adhesion on most surfaces. For tubs, sinks, and tiles, apply Sure Prime over repair area(s) first. For recoating tubs, apply 2 coats of Sure Prime first. Refer to Sure Prime prep for instructions.
Mixing ratio is 10 ounces Part A to 4 ounces part B. Premeasured amounts are provided. Simply add all of Part B to Part A and mix for 10 minutes with mixing stick. Ensure product is completely combined, as mixing well is important to get a quality finish.
KEEP PART B OUT OF SUNLIGHT AND KEEP THE LID ON THE PART B AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. IT WILL OXIDIZE AND YELLOW IN SUNLIGHT.
MIX THOUROUGHLY FOR 10 MINUTES OR IT WILL TURN YELLOW!!!
ALSO: NOTE: ADVISE CUSTOMERS NOT TO USE ANY COLOURANTS (Hair dye, bubble bath, anything coloured) for 30 DAYS AFTER REFINISHING.
*Note: For easier mixing, warm part A by leaving container in bowl of hot water, or with a hair dryer.
-Add ½ ounce of acetone when mixing to thin product and make pouring easier. (optional)
Apply with foam roller or short bristle roller. Brush in edges first.
For the smoothest application, Sure Finish may also be sprayed. Use acetone sparingly to thin for spraying.
For roll on application, roll as thin and consistent as possible. Sure Finish is slow drying so it allows time to ensure smooth application. Watch for bits of foam roller breaking down, and have extra rollers on hand. Remove any contaminants as you go and roll over to even out coating. Once completely coated, you can go over surface with a hair dryer or heat gun on low heat. This will smooth out drips and remove air bubbles, but is not necessary.
Allow to cure until completely hardened. (24-36hrs). Do not apply new silicone until Sure Finish is fully hardened.
2 coats of Sure Prime generally allows you to apply only one coat of Sure Finish Tub Coat
Small Kit will do 2 coats on one tub, or one coat on 2 tubs, or one tub and one surround. (approx)
Medium Kit will do one coat on 4 tubs
Large Kit will do one coat on 16 tubs
